during our week in rome, we did an underground tour
it was totally fascinating
we discovered that under pretty much every 12th century basilica, hides a 5th century church, which hides foundations from the year 100!
what amazed me, was the incredible number of 'ruins' just lying around and the fact that so much remains unearthed or partly unearthed
i guess it's a case of where to start!
